Porcelain vs. Ceramic: Ceramic tiles are for interior use only. Porcelain tiles can be used for interior or exterior applications.

Color and Style: There are many existing colors and patterns to choose from. At Ceramic Tileworks we have a huge selection of tiles hand selected from all around the world with the Minnesota Residential market in mind. Our in-house design staff can help you put together a tile package that will create the unique look you are after.

Do you have a small room you would like to look bigger? Use a larger sized tile, and better yet, have it installed on the diagonal. This visual trickery will enlarge the room’s appearance. At Ceramic Tileworks you will find many large format tiles in sizes up to 20"x20", with many modular patterns available as well. We have tiles ranging in size from 1"x1/2" up to 24"x24".

Durability: Ceramic tile is one of the most durable flooring materials available.
Some tiles may be more suited to your traffic area than others. You may have wet areas to cover that would require a tile with a higher friction coefficient, or you may want to put tile on an exterior surface.
