Mountain Timber is a glazed porcelain tile that mirrors the look of fossilized wood. Fossilized wood forms over time from lumber which becomes buried underground. Colorless quartz crystals deposit themselves inside the wood structure and are infused with mineral-laden water. The mineral deposits harden over time and replace the original wood with a colorful material that is structurally equivalent to stone. The most ornate samples of the fossilized wood were selected as the inspiration of the Mountain Timber collection. This porcelain tile is produced using ink jet technology.
12" x 24" size is available special order.
